The Georgia Department of Public Health recommends wearing a mask to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms. The safety of Tattnall Schools staff and students is of the utmost importance to us. For this reason, masks will be required on all Tattnall Schools campuses and buses. Beyond promoting safety, we believe requiring masks will also help us to continue to have classes and groups meet within the building without required quarantines for large groups. We will still follow CDC protocols for required quarantines and notification of possible exposures. We know everyone is anxious to get back to some sense of normalcy; however, we must ensure we are doing everything possible to keep staff and students safe. One mask will be provided to each student from their school, however, families will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the mask routinely. Masks that are brought to school must follow the school dress code as outlined in the Student Handbook. For more information, please visit the CDC links below:
November is Family Engagement Month. Thank you to all of the parents and guardians out there working hard each month of the year! Your commitment definitely shows in the success of your children. As State School Superintendent Richard Woods says in his letter below, "When parents and families are involved - when they are true partners - in their children's education, all students are more likely to succeed academically." Thank you for being a true partner for your child!
Thank you for visiting our school website. Hopefully you will find it to be a helpful resource and a great communication tool. Information regarding school events will be posted, as well as individual class pages maintained by the teachers. As always, we welcome and encourage parental and community support. Please feel free to contact us if you have suggestions. Please join us on ClassDojo and like us on Facebook!

As we value communication, it is essential that we can reach parents and guardians to disseminate important information in case of an emergency.
